About us

We believe that human dimensions are essential to keeping sport fair. Athletes start out clean and we should aim to help them stay that way throughout their careers.

Who are we?

The North African Regional Anti-Doping Organization (ORAD), formerly known as “ORAD Africa Zone I”, was created by representatives of the National Olympic Committees and governments of Algeria, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia, with the support of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), on March 5 and 6 2008 in Tunis, Tunisia. Following this meeting, the ORAD office was set up in Tunis, Tunisia. In 2010, Mauritania joined the ORAD as a new member.

In accordance with the decision taken by the Council at its 2012 meeting in Algiers, the ORAD Office has been transferred to Morocco.
